German Energy Academy in Jordan Organizes Introductory Session at the German Jordanian University

The German Energy Academy in Jordan organized an introductory session for faculty members from the School of Applied Technical Sciences (SATS) and the School of Sustainable Systems and Engineering (SSSE) at the German Jordanian University (GJU).

The session aimed to introduce attendees to the Academy’s mission as a regional center for vocational training and capacity building in the renewable energy sector, as well as to highlight its comprehensive training programs, strategic partnerships, and applied educational approach.

Prof. Aiman Batayneh, Project Director of the Academy and faculty member at the School of Sustainable Systems and Engineering, explained that the Academy targets students, professionals, and technicians, and collaborates with leading institutions in academic, professional, and industrial fields. Through these partnerships, the Academy integrates German expertise into its training programs and equips young people with the skills required in the renewable energy sector.

Prof. Batayneh also showcased the main courses offered by the Academy, including photovoltaic and thermal solar energy, energy efficiency, smart grids, and soft skills. He noted that the number of participants who have benefited from the Academy’s courses has reached around 1,000 trainees to date.
