GEA and GJU Conduct Field Visits to Schools and Mosques in Na’ur and Madaba

The German Energy Academy (GEA) in Jordan / German Jordanian University (GJU) team conducted field visits to a number of schools and mosques in Na’ur and Madaba as a follow-up activity to the training program “Do Not Be Wasteful” conducted for employees and energy officers at the GJU campus last December.

The visits were led by Eng. Al-Shrouf, Energy Efficiency Trainer within the team, using specialized energy measurement equipment to assess the efficient operation of systems and devices within the buildings, evaluate current energy consumption practices, and identify potential improvement opportunities in line with technical best practices.

The visits also included providing practical recommendations and simplified energy-saving measures aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing electricity consumption, in addition to distributing awareness brochures highlighting key energy efficiency practices within buildings

The Academy team further discussed implementation mechanisms of these measures with the management and staff of the schools and mosques, supporting the practical application of the proposed solutions and contributing to long-term sustainable energy management practices.

These visits come as part of the German Energy Academy in Jordan’s ongoing efforts to promote energy efficiency concepts and encourage sustainable practices across various sectors through combining theoretical training with practical field implementation.
