GEA Explores Expanding Training and Employment Opportunities in Germany for GJU Students

The German Energy Academy (GEA) in Jordan, in collaboration with its strategic partners, the German Solar Association (BSW-Solar) and Opp Court, held a meeting with the School of Sustainable Engineering at the German Jordanian University (GJU) to discuss future avenues of cooperation that support students’ academic and professional aspirations. The meeting aligns with the Academy’s vision of building sustainable international partnerships that contribute to developing practical skills and transferring global expertise to Jordanian youth. 

The discussions focused on enhancing internship opportunities for GJU students within German companies and strengthening coordination with the Academy to ensure the sustainability of these programs and achieve effective collaboration with international partners.  

The meeting also emphasized the importance of increasing the readiness and competitiveness of Jordanian students and engineers in the global energy market by connecting professional talents with training and employment opportunities across European and regional markets. 

The partners toured the Technology, Research, and Innovation Platform (TRIP) at the German Jordanian University to learn more about its initiatives and activities aimed at fostering a culture of innovation and supporting Jordan’s knowledge-based economy. By connecting academia with industry and entrepreneurial ecosystems,  

Representing the School of Sustainable Engineering were Dean Prof. Aiman Al-Share, Prof. Mustafa Jaradat, faculty member and International Cooperation Officer for the Academy project, and Dr. Mustafa Al-Shawaqfeh, faculty member. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Ronald Upmann International Project Manager at BSW-Solar, and Mr. Arabi Abdelhaq, Managing Director of Opp Court.
