German Energy Academy in Jordan Launches National Energy Efficiency Capacity-Building Workshops

The German Energy Academy in Jordan has launched the first training workshop under the National Energy Efficiency Capacity-Building Program, targeting key government institutions. The workshop was held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, for employees of the Ministry of Labour, in alignment with Jordan’s national priorities in energy efficiency and its climate commitments, as well as the technical assistance concept for capacity building and awareness-raising among government officials.

A specialized workshop titled “Market Study Results and Curriculum Development” at GJU

The German Energy Academy in Jordan (GEA) represented by its director Eng. Mohammad Juaidi and chief instructor Eng. Hamza F. Albanna held a specialized workshop titled “Market Study Results and Curriculum Development” at the German Jordanian University (GJU) campus, with the participation of GJU team, The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Academy’s partners, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and energy sector experts in Jordan. The workshop aimed to present the outcomes of the market study and discuss ways to develop training programs in alignment with labor market needs.

German Energy Academy Opens Specialized Training Facilities at the German Jordanian University

The German Jordanian University (GJU), represented by its President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, inaugurated two permanent specialized training facilities affiliated with the German Energy Academy (GEA) project in Jordan at the university’s main campus. The new facilities include a classroom dedicated to theoretical instruction and a fully equipped practical training laboratory featuring advanced energy systems and tools supported by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) Jordan.
